A family booking starts with ages, not just a total number of guests. Tour fares, cabin arrangements and holiday supplements can apply different rules. Read each part against the selected product instead of assuming one child policy covers the whole visit.
Start with the chosen tour
The child fare shown on one tour page should not be transferred to another. Day cruises, trekking products, floating-homestay programmes and cabin cruises can use different age bands. Enter the children in the fields shown for the selected service.
Give each child’s age as well as the adult count when requesting help. If a product needs more information before it can be priced or confirmed, keep the request open until that detail is resolved. A displayed starting fare is not a complete family quotation.
Check the cabin arrangement independently
For an overnight cruise, the fare category and the sleeping arrangement are related questions but not identical ones. Review the cabin capacity and the rules for the class you choose. The team may need to check how adults, children and infants share the available cabins.
A cabin described as double, twin or triple should be read with its actual occupancy details. Do not assume an extra bed or a child-sharing arrangement from the room name alone. If the selected arrangement is marked for manual confirmation, wait for that answer before proceeding as though it is settled.
Read holiday questions in their own place
A holiday supplement may use an age boundary that differs from the tour’s ordinary child fare. The booking panel can therefore ask for a child’s age even after you have selected a fare band. Complete the requested fields rather than selecting an adult category simply to move forward.
Check the final summary for the date, family count, cabin arrangement and any supplement. If the programme spans more than one day, consider the dates throughout the itinerary. Use the product’s own policy and confirmation for the final amount.
Include the practical needs in the enquiry
Tell us about dietary requests, mobility needs and other details relevant to the selected activity. For bay programmes, ask about the arrangements for your family rather than treating general activity wording as an individual suitability assessment.
Before sending the request, make sure the party is consistent across the cruise, accommodation and transport. The same children should not disappear from one part of a combo because another service uses a different pricing band. Keep the ages in the message so each service can be checked against its own rules.
